Welcome back from your sightseeing tour across northern Rhovanion. Hope you made some friends along the way that didn’t stab you in the back at the first opportunity. Let’s review how the community did for this quest!

Achievements
With this quest having various objective allies to interact with, I thought it was fun to have some achievements surrounding them. The designers of the campaign thought likewise, as they made their “Bad Bodyguard” in a similar fashion!
Such Helpful and Loyal Companions
Defeat four or more enemies using only Urdug and/or Tiny.
Worthless
The Urdug objective-ally gains: “Forced: At the beginning of each round, exhaust Urdug.” The Tiny objective-ally gains: “Forced: At the beginning of each round, exhaust Tiny.”
Bad Bodyguard [Ered Mithrin Campaign Guide Achievement]
Win Roam Across Rhovanion by defeating Tiny and Urdug in the same phase.

Encounter card Opinions

There was a tie for the favourite encounter card of this quest. Both the Slopes of Ered Mithrin and Wild Creatures scored highest. Slopes of Ered Mithrin is a nice location to have, since it will allow the first player to ready a character whenever you travel here. The Doomed 1 is annoying in such a long quest, but beneficial effects like the Response are rare this late in the game. Wild Creatures is an interesting treachery, as it might be more beneficial than you might realize. It allows you to pull enemies from the staging area down to you, thereby removing their threat from the total. It can help to get a few more points of progress, though that is very situational and easier to do in lower player counts. In higher player counts, you’ll find that you’re adding more enemies to the staging area.
Our winner for the title of “Least favourite encounter card” has become Grey Moorland! This is a location that will be crucial to travel to for one of the stages, but the forced treachery that this location inflicts upon you can be rough. Worse still is the shadow effect that will push enemies back to the staging area, so that you won’t be killing anything any time soon.
Cool moments that happened during the games
Because this was a blind playthrough, I turtled for a loooong time at the beginning of the quest. Once I had a good board state I cautiously moved on to Stage 2. I pretty quickly realized that, by turtling so much, I had already won this scenario. I just needed to play it out for 5,000 more rounds. Still had a lot of fun, though!
Eomer singlehandedly killed Urdug and Tiny in one phase. He killed Tiny with quick strike before the worthless bodyguard could even attack.
The Rescue Tiny stage 2 prevents you from cancelling treacheries, which The Threat to Wilderland (campain burden) already does, so the downside of that stage didn’t really matter.
With all of the high-engagement cost enemies and a couple of giants, Pippin was able to draw through my entire deck by the last turn. It also felt great when a Hobgoblin got Gondorian Fire attached to it. Easy enemy that still triggered my hobbit responses.
Wild Creatures treachery card helped kick start my trap/Dunedain deck so it was actually more helpful than hurtful everytime it triggered.
